About
Grace Copeland is a photographer/filmmaker specializing in capturing theater and dance. Grace is especially proud that her work expands beyond Broadway and prestigious dance companies - it brings her joy to capture all generations and all levels of the performing arts, from top professional companies to arts education orgs.

She is specifically sought out as a Director of Photography for her unique immersive style of capturing movement. Grace’s most recent dance film was commissioned by Woman In Motion and premiered at the Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theatre.
In the past year alone, Grace has photographed and/or filmed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Jacob's Pillow, and various Broadway theaters. In a given week, she could be found capturing a baroque chamber music concert, a Broadway curtain call, a children's dance recital, and the Paul Taylor Dance Company at Lincoln Center.
Grace has recently taken a leap into the fine art side of the photography industry. She has a permanent gallery on the Upper East Side at Nova Omnia, which can be visited during normal business hours, and she sells prints online. See "Gallery" and "Print Shop" tabs for more.
Other artistic whims include drawing, an immersive light installation, producing live concerts, collaborations between her photography and other artistic mediums, and creating a musical number commercial for an organization she loves.

Grace's biggest dreams are to have photos used for front of house on a Broadway theater, to create key art for a dance company that is used for the banner that hangs on the side of the David Koch theater facing Broadway, and to capture black and white images of ABT kiddos backstage at the New York City Ballet's "Nutcracker." If you have a way to make any of those happen, PLEASE contact me!
